  2. I thank you and the others for initiating these idea sessions. And ALSO laboring over the comprehensive plan for these last two years. It is a foundation to work from (at 30000 feet, as Jeremy states)

I offer one reflection, which would require another glimpse from a 30000 foot Google Earth shot.

From that elevation, the highest values are obvious..water, mountains..and less obvious the historic Sandpoint downtown and then not obvious, except at the people level: the generous spirit of the community.

So to me, the most important values to be comprehensively planned for are:

The water: The Lake and the Creek,
The mountains: Schweitzer mountain area connection to downtown.
The historic Sandpoint downtown connected to Sand Creek
The sense of a generous and connected community..which requires the first three..especially with increasing future growth.
All four of these values are potentially tied together AND all include the surrounding jurisdictions.

So thank you for laboring towards broader plans and actions through sound, legal working inter-jurisdctional agreements that can cover all the greater Sandpoint community.

This, with these next years of cooperative labor, can preserve, enhance, expand, and maintain
..the most important values of what this community is..
    "A COMMUNITY with its
back leaning against the MOUNTAINS and its toes dipped in the cool, pure LAKE water"...as written by an outside reporter.
    Thanks...

    R. Ross Hall
